Our Previous Football Tournaments

We’re delighted to share that the 2025 Charity Football Tournament & Family Fun Day was a tremendous success, raising an amazing £2,586 to support those affected by cancer. A huge thank you to everyone who formed teams, played, cheered on the sidelines, bought raffle tickets, and enjoyed the many activities and stalls throughout the day.

This year welcomed two new teams to the competition, with Unathletico Madrid triumphing and taking home the trophy at Long Lane JFC, who kindly hosted us once again. The event was full of thrilling football action and joyful community spirit.

Families had an unforgettable day with fantastic entertainment thanks to our incredible partners. BJ’s Bouncy Castle Shire provided exciting inflatables including a football-themed bouncy castle, an assault course with a big slide, and a junior climb and slide area — all available with a convenient ‘All Day Access’ wristband for unlimited play.

The children were thrilled to meet special guests from Hero Hosts and Just Add Magic Events, including fan favorites like Spiderman and Princess Ariel. Thanks to Love Mascots, Hello Kitty and Angel the alien also made appearances, delighting kids with meet-and-greets, photos, and hugs.

Foodies were well catered for with delicious treats from Kahvelo, serving ethically sourced coffee and freshly made waffle sticks, and Sugarcoated Gems Bakery, a local home bakery offering mouth-watering cupcakes, celebration cakes, brownies, and more.

We are incredibly grateful to all our volunteers, entertainers, food vendors, and everyone who came out to support this event. Your generosity and enthusiasm made this day truly special. We can’t wait to welcome you back for our 5th tournament next year, building on this year’s wonderful memories.

We were back at Long Lane FC for another exciting summer tournament! The day was packed with football action as the Unmask Cancer Tournament ran alongside the showing of two Euro games—promising a busy day… until the weather decided otherwise!

Despite the rainy conditions, families and friends came out in full support, enjoying a range of activities including inflatables, a photo wall, sweet treats, and interactive stalls like our tombola.

Our raffle was a great success with prizes for everyone. Congratulations to Sarah, who took home the most prizes on the day!

Music was on point as always with the return of our favourite DJ, Choice FM’s very own DJ Dubble S, guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor. We’re already counting down to the next time he brings the party vibes!

Players - Thank you to all the teams and players who took part this year. We hope you enjoyed the football and look forward to seeing you back next year!

Referees - We appreciate the referees who managed the matches professionally and with great enthusiasm—all in support of our charity.

Stall Owners - Thanks to everyone who ran stalls and helped raise funds on the day. Special shout-outs to Blue Stella Books, Stay With Me Candles, and Cocoa Naturale for their fantastic contributions.

Volunteers - A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, especially those who travelled to join us. Your help made this day possible!

Despite the weather, the day was filled with community spirit and fun, all for a great cause. Thank you to everyone supporting our charity over the years, and welcome to new supporters! We do all this to raise funds for cancer charities and create unforgettable memories for all involved.

On June 3rd, we held our second Unmask Cancer Football Tournament, and it was an incredible day! With four teams competing for the championship, fun activities for kids, and Choice FM DJ Dubble S spinning tunes, the atmosphere was electric. 

We raised £1,800 for our chosen cancer charities.

This year’s tournament was hosted by Long Lane FC, who went above and beyond to help us. Huge thanks to Jane for her amazing support and to the fantastic bar staff who kept the energy high and even joined us on the dancefloor.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and players who took part. The matches were filmed by Film My Match, with highlights available on YouTube. Our photographer, Finn McSkimming, once again captured great moments throughout the day.

Congratulations to Dome F.C., the tournament winners, with Kane Design & Build, AJT F.C, and DMc F.C all putting in strong performances. Thanks also to the referees, linesmen, and the two ladies who ran stalls selling their products.

Families enjoyed entertainment from our event partners, including a fun ball pit from With Love Hope and a photo wall from Loving Moments Events. BJ’s Bouncy Castles provided a bouncy castle, giant dartboard, and two penalty shootouts.

This year’s raffle included a special star raffle with top prizes like a PlayStation 5, 50” Smart TV, Nintendo Switch Lite, JD Sports voucher, and a bowling night for 12 at Strike Bowling. The regular raffle had a wide variety of prizes donated by generous supporters.

On July 10th, 2021, the very first Unmask Cancer Football Tournament took place at Bromleians F.C., bringing together four men’s teams and eight U18 girls’ teams to compete for the inaugural Unmask Cancer Cup.

The event raised £2,000 for two fantastic cancer charities, Coppafeel! and Baggy Trousers, after covering all costs. The day was filled with thrilling matches, family fun, and community spirit.

Teams and Sponsors

The men’s teams proudly wore custom-designed kits featuring the charity logos on the sleeves. These kits were kindly created by Winston Sports, who were fantastic throughout the process. The men’s matches were professionally filmed by Film My Match, and wonderful photos were taken by photographer Finn McSkimming.

Alongside the football, the event featured a BBQ, a sweet treats stall, and plenty of activities for children, including a bouncy castle, an inflatable penalty shoot-out, a soft play area, face painting, and balloon modelling. A raffle offered exciting prizes such as cocktail hampers, cash, children’s books, haircuts, lash treatments, vouchers for meals, golf sessions, sweets, baked goods, and teeth whitening.
